Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has a mode which is called Special Ops Missions, which are basically a form of Raids in the game. These are supposedly set after the timeline of the campaign. There are about five Raids, each ranging to about two hours. In order to do one, 3 players are required as well, so it is good to get some friends involved in it as well to help with the combat and puzzle-solving.

There is a total of five raids, but players can just do the first raid to test the waters and make sure their weapons are good as well – then players can complete the rest of the raid assignments. Yes, each raid will be 2 hours, meaning completing them all will take ten hours or more. Activision also encourages players to play through them multiple times to earn all the different rewards in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. What Call of Duty is the best?

This guide will go over everything to know about Raids in MW2. Be sure to also check out this guide discussing new modes, including raids.

Everything to know about Raids in MW2

Raids in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a progression to the story, giving players a new experience to a multiplayer different story. There are multiple different ones that players can play with their friends, and once completing them, players will receive different rewards. However, players won’t need their friends to participate in Raids.

The point of raids is the different rewards as well, some of those being a Gaz’s Convoy Skin and other randomized rewards like calling cards, emblems, and blueprints, which can be used to better your weapons and their load-outs as well as customize your player cards.

Raids aren’t an easy task to complete and will involve teamwork to better ensure each raid episode is completed in Call of Duty. The raids mode is good for players that might want to play off and on during a full week to get all the perks done for the specs op missions, just make sure to have some squadmates.

While Raids are a bit trickier and not as fast-paced as the regular battle royale modes, players will still find this mode beneficial when they start getting the cool rewards. Check out this post discussing if content will transfer over in Call of Duty 2023.
