Call of Duty Vanguard is out now, and the game supports split-screen on consoles. If you have bought a boxed copy of the game or have recently visited the PSN or Xbox store, you will have found that there is a 1-2 player limit, meaning you and a friend or family member can connect a second pad and play together. However, the feature is not present in all modes.
If you’re interested in playing Call of Duty Vanguard split-screen, then we’ll teach you all about it. But, before we go any further, we have not yet been able to figure it out on PC, meaning chances are it doesn’t work.
Call of Duty Vanguard Multiplayer split-screen
To play Call of Duty Vanguard multiplayer split-screen, you’re going to need to connect a second controller. The second player will then need to sign in to an account. A guest account seems to work fine, but you can start earning achievements and progression if you sign into a valid PSN or Xbox Live account.
Call of Duty Vanguard Zombies split-screen
Sadly, it appears that the Call of Duty Vagaurd Zombies split-screen doesn’t work, at least not yet. Black Ops Cold War had the same issue on launch, with players not able to play split-screen until Season1 came along.
It is a shame since CoD Zombies is always a better experience when you and your mates can sit together, cracking zombie skulls and pushing back the hordes of the undead. The good news is that the Call of Duty Vanguard Zombies feature is still getting worked on. Activision told the Express:
“All Vanguard Zombies lobbies (Public, Private, and Solo) will run on dedicated servers starting at launch for the smoothest experience possible!
“This will also result in shorter kick times for inactive players while we work on adding Server Pause as a post-launch feature, so be sure to pull up the options menu to extend the timer if you need a quick bio break. Remember to stay active out there!”
So, if that is anything to buy, Zombies appears like it wasn’t exactly ready for launch. So zombie split-screen fans, you may not have to wait much longer to play Call of Duty Vanguard Zombies split-screen.
