Diablo 4 is another entry from Blizzard in the critically acclaimed Diablo series. However, a lot of PC players wonder if they can use WASD on their keyboards to move their characters. If you’re one of them, continue reading below as we explain the default movement option in Diablo 4.

Can I use WASD to move in Diablo 4?

Unfortunately, you can not use WASD to move in Diablo 4. The WASD movement is pretty common in plenty of video games, but top-down RPGs often lack this feature. Even all the previous games from the Diablo series, including Diablo Immortal and Diablo III, didn’t allow players to control the movement of their characters using the four keys.

Instead of using the keyboard, players have to use the default movement control, that is, the left mouse button. If you want to move your character from one location to another, you must click on the spot where you want your character to move. However, this can be problematic for those players who are not used to moving their mouse cursor around for movement, especially while using a mount.

Furthermore, if you’re not used to the mouse, you might find it difficult to fight bosses like Ashava and The Butcher.

It is worth noting that while there is currently no option to use WASD key binding to move in Diablo IV, the developers might add it to the game in the future. This can happen if a lot of fans demand it while sharing feedback about the game on Twitter or Reddit. Afterall, Blizzard is always looking for ways to make its player base happy.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to use the mouse for movement, you can try using a controller instead. The movement is much better and easier with a controller, especially for new players. However, if you’re not a fan of even controllers, then your only option is to wait and hope for the developers to add support for WASD in the future.
