Traveling throughout Diablo IV’s open world of Sanctuary to level up is going to take a lot of time. Searching high and low for Legendary loot to beef up your character to take on the main campaign and the endgame can be troublesome, and it will be way more work if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Dungeons are one of the best spots to start at, as they’re filled with rewards that are great for any level of player. The best part is that once you reach the endgame, you’ll also unlock Nightmare Dungeons, which are incredible for Uniques.

If you need to know the best dungeons for loot in Diablo IV, we’ve got you covered. Here are our picks for the best dungeons to farm.

Best Dungeons to farm for loot in Diablo 4

  • Mercy Reach in Fractured Peaks
  • Champion’s Demise in Dry Steppes

Diablo 4 Forbidden City dungeon

The Forbidden City dungeon can be found North of the Sarkova Pass in Fractured Peaks. This dungeon’s closest waypoint is the Menestad waypoint, so fast travel there and head North and slightly East to find it. We’ve marked the path on the map above for easy access.

This dungeon has three elite Enraged Spirit Spirited Knight enemies and plenty of Animus Carriers to farm, that often will drop Legendary and Rare gear to loot. Great for replay value, and the Cursed Shrine event will unlock a Greater Radiant Chest that will often contain a Legendary item, as well.

Diablo 4 Mercy Reach dungeon

The Mercy Reach dungeon is in the far Northwest corner of Fractured Peaks, in the Westering Lowlands which can be reached by the Menestad or Firebreak Manor waypoints. Both will get you there in a sufficiently short amount of time.

This dungeon is great for farming because of the good amount of chests that spawn inside, including an Odd Resplendent Chest that will sometimes contain a Legendary or Rare item. Three elite Knight Hunter enemies also populate the dungeon, and these elites not only drop great Legendary gear but also give you plenty of XP.

Diablo 4 Champion’s Demise dungeon

The Champion’s Demise dungeon can be found in the Untamed Scarps of the Dry Steppes region, Southwest of the Temple of Rot. The closest waypoint is the Jirandai waypoint, and from there you’ll need to head Northwest.

This dungeon is one of the best for XP farming, as the entire place is swarming with Goatmen demons and spiders. You can earn Legendary loot by completing the pretty simple mini-activity quest that requires you to take three stone carvings to a pedestal, which then allows you to fight two elite Cairn Defiler Slayer of Champions monsters that will normally drop at least one Legendary item for you in the loot drops. These elite monsters are also great for replay, whether on normal or as a Nightmare dungeon.

Diablo 4 Blind Burrows dungeon

The Blind Burrows dungeon can be found in the Fethis Wetlands in Hawezer. The Vyeresz Waypoint is the closest to the dungeon, so we recommend using this fast travel point if you can.

The dungeon is particularly great for farming due to the nature of its boss, the Broodguard. This boss is pretty easy to beat, despite giving good loot. You’ll have to beat a lot of spiders to reach the boss, but it’s one of the fastest dungeons to replay due to the Broodguard being very slow. Whether you’re just a beginner to the Nightmare Dungeon scene or a pro, this one is a great place to start and do it over and over.

Diablo 4 Halls of the Damned dungeon

The Halls of the Damned dungeon is found in Kehjistan, in the Scouring Sands region. Your best bet is to use the Tarsarak Waypoint and make your way out to the desert. However, it’s a bit of a distance, so use your mount if you can.

The Halls of the Damned is filled with plenty of spirits and wraiths to harvest from, and this includes plenty of Elites. Playing this dungeon is great for farmed gear from these Elites and enemies, but the dungeon will also reward you with the Aspect of Disobedience. This is an incredible Aspect to be found and can be used by any class, so whether you’re a Necromancer, Druid, Barbarian, Sorcerer, or Rogue, this dungeon is well worth playing.
