What are the requirements in CS2 to join Premier Mode?
There are two requirements you have to meet before you can play Premier Mode in CS2:
- Have Prime Status
- Be Level 10 or higher
While being level 10 simply requires putting in time on the game for experience, having Prime Status is a little different. In order to have Prime Status, you need to purchase it from the store for $14.99 USD. These are the official requirements from the Steam Support FAQs page.
While this does mean you need to pay to play the most intense competitive mode in the game, Prime Status does come with a few perks, such as exclusive souvenirs and weapon cases.
What’s in Premier Mode in CS2?
By playing Premier Mode, you can rank up in the CS Rating system to achieve a higher status. The CS rating works based on wins and losses towards rating points. Quitters also have their rating affected. The ranking system in CS2 is the same as CS:GO, with the maximum being Global Elite. Premier matches have exclusive matchmaking to match you up with other players of similar rank, so you can climb your way to the top of the global leaderboard.
This game mode also features the ability to ban maps from an available map pool, so players can choose which map they want to play on.
