How can I see ping in CS2?
To see ping in CS2, make sure you have enabled the developer console first. If you’ve played the previous Counter-Strike game, then you’re already aware of how the developer console is used to enable/disable different settings using console commands.
To enable the developer console, follow these steps:
- Click on the Gear icon in CS2 to access the settings. This is on the top left corner of your screen.
- Now, go to the ‘GAME’ tab and find the ‘Enable Developer Console (~)’ option.
- If it is already enabled, leave it as it is. But if it’s not, click on it and select ‘Yes.’
Now, during a match, press the ` key (which is above the Tab key), and the developer console will pop up on your screen. To enable the Netgraph indicator, which tells you about your connection’s quality, type the net_graph 1 command. Once done, the Netrgraph will start appearing on the top right corner of the screen.
You can also disable the Netgraph if you’re no longer interested in seeing the ping. For this, you need to type the net_graph 0 console command in the developer console. If the Netgraph is not going away, try using the command again or restart your game. Furthermore, the developer console can also be used to show FPS or spawn knives.
If you’re getting high ping, it means that there is something wrong with your internet connection. High ping will cause your game to lag, something that will ruin the entire gameplay experience. Therefore, you must take care of it quickly.
Power cycling your internet router can help fix connection problems in most cases. This can be done by turning off the router, removing all the cables, and waiting around a minute before turning it back on. We also suggest you don’t download anything while playing CS2.
