A devout follower of Bishop Leshy, Amdusias draws on forbidden power to stop your cult’s ascent.

Amdusias Boss Moveset 

Minion Spawn 

Amdusias spawnS smaller versions of itself, the likes of which you’ve been fighting on your way through the Darkwood. Thankfully, they have very little mobility and don’t attack frequently.

However, if Amdusias is allowed to spawn enough minions they can quickly clog up the battlefield. Split your attention between dealing damage to Amdusias and mopping up the minions to avoid being overwhelmed. 

Charge Attack 

Amdusias takes a short time to wind up then dashes across the arena, covering a small amount of ground.

Prior to this charge, Amdusias squats and glows white, giving you plenty of advance warning to get out of the way. Amdusias uses this move very frequently as its primary method of movement as well as offense, so always be ready to dodge in between getting in hits. 

Projectile Rain 

Other than its short-range charge attack, Amdusias also has a projectile attack likely to catch you off guard if you aren’t careful.  

Amdusias releases a large number of green acidic projectiles that rain down across the arena after a moment.  

Target reticules appear where the projectiles are about to land, so you have a moment to get yourself to safety. If you can dodge through the projectiles, you should be able to get a few free hits in on Amdusias. 

Amdusias Boss Tips 

Max Out Floor Exploration 

When exploring the Darkwood, you might initially want to take the swiftest route to the Amdusias. Every additional fight comes with the risk of losing your health before you reach the boss, leaving you in a poor state to deal with them.

But it’s important to shake off this mentality as soon as possible. Exploring all the rooms available to you gives you an extra chance to run into upgrades and shops, allowing you to be as prepared as possible when eventually confronting a boss.  

Make Sure You’ve Found Clauneck 

Clauneck is one of the most helpful characters in Cult of The Lamb. This strange Tarot reader resides on each floor of Cult of the Lamb’s dungeons, offering Tarot readings that drastically increase your power until the end of each run. The boosts are instrumental in helping you defeat Amdusias, and many other bosses in Cult of the Lamb.

The Lovers card grants an additional temporary heart, which can soak up any damage dealt out by Amdusias or his spawned minions.

True Sight offers a 10% critical hit bonus, giving you a chance to deal a huge chunk of damage and wear Amdusias’ health down even quicker. These cards and many more will help you defeat Amdusias much more easily than if it’s just you and your weapon.

Amdusias Defeated 

When you reduce Amdusias’ health to zero, it isn’t the last you’ll see of them.

In fact, Amdusias will be ready to be converted to your cause, granting a useful new follower for your cult, and bringing you one step closer to defeating Bishop Leshy.
