Full of exploration and restaurant simulation, Dave the Diver is a wonderful casual RPG adventure where you explore the open sea, and manage a sushi restaurant.

There are plenty of fish to catch for your restaurant in the game, including Mantis Shrimp, Seahorses, Eel, and more.

If you need help catching the Marlin fish, look no further, because we’re here to show you how.

How to get Marlin in Dave the Diver

The Marlin fish can be found between a 0m-50m depth when you dive, and they can be caught like every other fish in the game, with the harpoon gun weapon. We’d definitely recommend upgrading your harpoon, though, as the Marlin is very fast. They are pretty easy to spot once you’ve found one, with distinct characteristics:

  • Large size
  • Long, pointy nose
  • Sharp fins

Similar to Tuna, these fish can be difficult to catch, so you can always use Steel Net Sensor Traps or Net Bombs to get a hold of them, too.

It’s important to note that you won’t be able to find any Marlin until you unlock the Marlin Party event for the sushi restaurant to add them to the menu, in which you’ll need to catch several to complete the quest and serve them up along with other ingredients.

The Marlin is a very rare type of fish found in the game, so your best bet to locate them will be during Marlin events, where plenty of Marlin will spawn together near your drop point. They can be found on their own, wandering the Blue Hole in solitude, as well.

These fish yield lots of meat, so try to best to catch them each time you spot one.

Dave the Diver is an amazing experience of exploring the open ocean and scuba diving and a delightful restaurant simulator that lets you use the fruits of your labor to make tasty dishes. Its one of the best diving games around, and has received plenty of excellent reviews.
