How to complete all Diablo 4 Events

Blizzard’s newest title in the Diablo franchise, Diablo IV, is full of events around the open world of Sanctuary that players can complete for extra loot and XP. Because these take place all over, it can be difficult to remember which ones there are and what you must do to complete them. Have no fear, we’re here to let you know how to complete all events in Diablo IV.

Diablo 4 – How to complete all events

There are 12 different events that can be found around Sanctuary, each with its own set of actions to complete it. The events often center around defeating enemies while completing various tasks, and it’s a great way to farm Murmuring Obols as they will come as one of the rewards.

Here are all 12 events and some common areas they are found in:

1. Ancient Obelisk – can be found in Sarkova Pass and Frigid Expanse
2. Ancient Syphon – can be found in Western Ways
3. Caravan Under Siege – can be found in Gale Valley
4. Cull the Wicked – can be found in Seat of the Heavens
5. Hold Your Ground – can be found in The Pallid Glade
6. Insatiable Hunger – can be found in The Pallid Glade
7. Jar of Souls – can be found in Frigid Expanse and Dobrev Taiga
8. Liberation – can be found in Frigid Expanse,
9. Raze the Effigies – can be found in Dobrev Taiga
10. Rites of Ascension – can be found in Desolate Highlands and The Pallid Glade
11. Waves of Darkness – can be found in Sarkova Pass
12. Wayward Soul – can be found in Desolute Highlands and Sarkova Pass

We’ll go over each one’s objectives so you know how to beat them and obtain that sweet loot. No event will last longer than a few minutes at most, so you’ll be able to beat them all in no time. As long as you complete the event, you’ll beat it, but if you want to go above and beyond to get extra rewards, you can also master the event.

Diablo 4 Event – Ancient Obelisk

First, Inspect the Obelisk in the center of the area by interacting with it. Four pressure plates will appear around the event area, and you’ll need to stand on each one to satiate the Obelisk with blood. Enemies will spawn and attack you while you do this, so you’ll need to defend yourself. Once completed, a final elite enemy will appear in the center for you to beat. Beat this before the timer runs out for mastery completion.

Diablo 4 Event – Ancient Syphon

Ancient Syphon will have you run out the clock defeating enemies near the syphon. To unlock mastery, you’ll have to satiate three syhpons within the time limit.

Diablo 4 Event – Caravan Under Siege

First, kill the enemies surrounding three wrecked caravans. Talk to travelers hiding under the cart, and this will trigger another wave of enemies for you to defeat. To unlock mastery, beat all the enemies before the timer runs out.

Diablo 4 Event – Cull the Wicked

Cull the Wicked only requires that you kill all the enemies in the event area, which includes an Elite enemy. For mastery completion, defeat the Elite before the timer runs out.

Diablo 4 Event – Hold Your Ground

For this event, kill all the waves of enemies while defending the NPC you need to guard. If the NPC survives all waves, you’ll unlock mastery.

Diablo 4 Event – Insatiable Hunger

Insatiable Hunger requires you to defeat the possessed enemy before the Devourer of Souls enemy in the center of the event area sacrifices them. Master is unlocked if you can beat three sacrifices before the timer runs out.

Diablo 4 Event – Jar of Souls

Jar of Souls has you collect enemy souls by killing them and surviving the assault that occurs during soul collecting. Collecting 30 souls before the timer runs out unlocks mastery. 

Diablo 4 Event – Liberation

This event has you liberate six prisoners and then defeat the Elite foe in the event area. Enemies will attack you while liberating the prisoners. If you can do all this within the time limit, you’ll unlock mastery. 

Diablo 4 Event – Raze the Effigies

Destroying all three enemy structures within the event area, and then defeating the Elite enemy that spawns when you do will complete this event. Defeating the Elite within the time limit unlocks mastery.

Diablo 4 Event – Rites of Ascension

Rites of Ascension requires you to defeat the Unascended enemy in the event area. To do this, you’ll first need to beat the enemies tethered to it, then take out the Unascended Elite. Do this within the time limit, before the rites are complete, to unlock mastery. 

Diablo 4 Event – Waves of Darkness

Waves of Darkness has you simply defeat waves of enemies while the timer runs. Beat five waves of enemies within the time limit to unlock mastery.

Diablo 4 Event – Wayward Soul

For this event, talk to the Wayward Soul and escort them to their loved ones. Enemies will assault you while you escort them. To unlock mastery, complete this event within the time limit.
