There are a whole host of materials you’re going to be collecting throughout the open world of Sanctuary in Blizzard’s latest release in the Diablo series, Diablo IV. You’ll want to grab as many as you can so you can upgrade potions and craft elixirs with no trouble. If you’re having difficulties getting the Paletongue crafting material, look no further, we’re here to show you how.

Diablo 4 Paletongue location – where is it?

Paletongue is a crafting material found in the mouths of evil humans. Human enemies have the chance to drop these tongues after killing them. These particularly black-hearted humans include:

  • Cultists
  • Cannibals

So both of these types of monsters have a chance to drop Paletongue upon their death for you to salvage. These enemies can be found all over the overworld, however, if you want to do some farming, the Bloodsoaked Crag Dungeon in Dry Steppes is filled with cannibalistic enemies for players to defeat. We’ve marked the dungeon on the map in blue above so you can find it easier.

Luckily, the Paletongue isn’t that rare of a drop, so you shouldn’t have to kill too many human enemies before getting some.

Paletongue is only dropped by human enemies, so beasts like werecreatures or demons won’t be carrying these with their gear and weapons. You’ll have to get them from human enemies.

How to use Paletongue in Diablo 4

Once you’ve got your hands on some Paletongue, ignoring how gross that sounds, you can head to The Alchemist in Kyovashad. From there, she’ll be able to upgrade potions to the Strong Healing Potion, and craft a few incense like the Chorus of War Incense, Soothing Spices Incense, and Spirit Dance Incense.

There’s no downside to picking up as many crafting materials as possible, so be sure to snag any you see along the way, including monster parts like Paletongue, Crushed Beast Bones, Demon’s Heart, and Grave Dust, but also herbs like Reddamine, Blightshade, Howler Moss, Angelbreath, Biteberry, Lifesbane, and Gallowvine. You can carry as many as you like, so pick up any that you see. You’ll be able to use any of these materials for potions, elixirs, and incense, which will be invaluable while you’re on your quest to stop the hateful Lilith.
