Is Exoprimal Crossplay? Join the high-tech exosuit weapons team that is the first line of defense for humanity against the threat of history’s most ferocious beasts, dinosaurs, in the new title Exoprimal from Capcom for plenty of third-person shooter fun.

Exoprimal has been raising lots of questions for gamers who want in on the action, from whether there is there a story mode to whether the game is available on Xbox Game Pass.

Is Exoprimal Crossplay?

Yes, Exoprimal has crossplay capability but it is limited. That means you can fight the dinosaurs that spawn across the globe in Exoprimal with players on any platform in multiplayer matchmaking but only within the restrictions that has been set by CAPCOM.

From this tweet by Exoprimal themselves, it’s expected that PlayStation players will be able to play together across other PlayStation users and Xbox will be binded to PC players. However, people who buy the game on Steam will only be allowed to play with players on the Steam platform only.

The crossplay, however, does not allow players to invite others to join their squad as teammates if they’re playing on a different console. For example, if you are playing on PC and want to invite a friend playing on PlayStation 5, you won’t be able to do this.

However, you can link your game to your Capcom ID, and so long as your friends also have them, you can invite across platforms using that to form buddies on your friend list.

Will Exoprimal have cross progression?

As of right now, there is no information on whether Exoprimal will include cross progression to be able to bring your gameplay progression across platforms. It’s possible that because you need to link your Capcom ID to use crossplay invites, you could sign in to your Capcom ID to carry your progression over. This is not official though. We will update this article if any information comes out about cross progression before its release date in mid-July.

Now that you know crossplay is available in Exoprimal, the only way to send crossplay invites is through your CAPCOM ID.

This is the only way around inviting friends across different platforms, so I would suggest to stick to it now until changes are made!
