Final Fantasy 16 – All demo abilities

There are two sections of Final Fantasy 16’s demo that allow you to try out various abilities.

  • Aerial Attack – Chain up to three strikes while in the air.

All Final Fantasy 16 demo abilities – Eikonic Challenge

The Eikonic Challenge gives you the ability to use three different Eikons’ abilities as you complete a part of the story that takes place later in the game. This special battle demo gives you a better look at the game’s combat and has the following abilities:

  • Phoenix Abilities:
    • Phoenix Shift – Use the blessing of the Phoenix to close the gap between a target. Both melee attacks and magicked attacks can be dealt while shifting.
    • Rising Flame – Summon a fiery wing that deals damage and can launch lighter enemies into the air.
    • Scarlet Cyclone – Spin quickly, creating a ring of fire that burns all enemies within range.
    • Heatwave – Summon a projectile-dispelling wall of liquid flame before launching several deadly shockwaves. Wave force is amplified upon dispelling magic.
  • Garuda Abilities:
    • Deadly Embrace – Send a grappling claw out to grab an enemy and pull it toward Clive. Grappling heavier enemies will launch Clive into the air.
    • Rook’s Gambit – Jump back, then deliver a punishing counter. If the jump evades an attack, counter potency is increased. Can be used in midair.
    • Wicked Wheel – Perform a rising attack, striking all enemies within range and lifting them from the ground. Can be used in midair.
    • Gouge – Summon twin claws that relentlessly tear at a target. Can be used in midair.
  • Titan Abilities:

Along with the abilities listed, you have access to the base abilities from the prologue. Each Eikon has a basic magic attack based on its element. For instance, the Titan Eikon allows you to launch stones as your magic attack.

Make sure to pay attention to the skills you unlock and equip. If you don’t like your build, you can always reset your abilities later on. Remember, progress from the demo carries over to the final game when it launches. Download the demo from the PlayStation Store to try out the game before purchasing.
