Final Fantasy 16 is among the most anticipated games, with many fans eager to release platforms like the Nintendo Switch. As a result, many fans of the franchise would like to know if their current console is eligible for a possible release of the latest installment of the Final Fantasy franchise. So, follow this guide to learn if Final Fantasy 16 will release on the Nintendo Switch console.

Will Final Fantasy 16 be released on Nintendo Switch?

There is no confirmation that the Final Fantasy 16 game will release on the Nintendo Switch console. Final Fantasy 16 is a timed exclusive that will be released on the PlayStation 5 platform. It will continue to be on the PlayStation 5 for six months, as seen in the reveal trailer.

You can see this information in the Final Fantasy 16 Awakening Trailer; it will be placed near the end of the video, in which it will state it is a PlayStation 5 Console exclusive. It will also say it will not be available to other platforms for a limited time.

Why will Final Fantasy 16 not be released on Nintendo Switch?

Producer Naoki Yoshida heavily focused on the PlayStation 5 graphics to produce the gameplay of Final Fantasy XVI, as stated in a Japanese PlayStation Blog. The main goal of the Square Enix team was to use the PlayStation 5’s elements to produce a higher quality of gameplay.

As a result, they have taken thoughtful consideration into the game experience. Such as the tragedy of Joshua and Clive Rosfield, the battles between the beast summons, and, of course, the overall production.

Therefore, based on the consideration taken into account when making FFXVI and the performance of the Nintendo Switch, it will take some time for the Final Fantasy 16 game to be ported to Nintendo Switch. However, at the moment, there is no confirmation about a potential release.
