Saving your game is very important. You want to make sure your save data is protected so you don’t need to start the full game over. Far too often people forget to save their game only to need to redo the last combat section they were on.

Final Fantasy 16, like most action RPGs, allows you to save your game. Square Enix made sure to add this option so fans don’t lose all their data. This guide will show you how to save in Final Fantasy 16.

To save your game in Final Fantasy 16, you need to start by pressing the options button. This will bring up the menu. Once there, use R2 and L2 to navigate to the system menu. After that, simply select the save option and select your save location to save your game. This will back up your gameplay so you can continue from where you left off.

Square Enix has provided a demo that you can download from the PlayStation Store. A portion of the demo allows you to play the opening prologue and carries over to the full version of the game. During this demo, you will fight multiple bosses and experience the new combat system.

To simplify the saving process:

  1. Press the options button to open the menu
  2. Use R2 and L2 to navigate to the system menu
  3. Locate the save option
  4. Select the save option
  5. Choose your save location

Is there an autosave in Final Fantasy 16?

Yes, Final Fantasy 16 has an autosave feature. This feature will save your game automatically during certain sections though you should rely on manual saves more often than the autosave.

The demo for Final Fantasy 16 contains an autosave as well. The only portion of the demo without the autosave feature is the special battle demo. This section of the game cannot be saved and progress made in it will not carry over to the full game.
