Who is the main character in Final Fantasy 16?
The latest installment of the Final Fantasy franchise, Final Fantasy 16, will feature a main character called Clive Rosfield and will be based on his quest for revenge. Clive is the First Shield of Rosaria and is sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua Rosfield, the second son of the Archduke of Rosaria.
As the firstborn son of the Archduke of Rosaria, Clive was expected to inherit the Eikon’s power of the Phoenix’s flames. However, Clive’s younger brother Joshua became the Dominant of the Phoenix.
Also, in the Grand Duchy of Rosaria are their companions, Torgal and Jill Warrick. Jill was born in the Northern Territories and thus taken as a ward of Rosaria when she was young. Like Jill, Torgal was found as a pup in a snowfield in the fallen Northern Territories during one of Archduke Elwin’s expeditions and thus gifted to his sons.
However, on one fateful day, tragedy strikes when members of the Iron Kingdom, the controllers of Drake’s Breath, the Mothercrystal, attacks House Rosfield. Many troops have been caught in combat trying to protect the Rosfield line. Unfortunately, this will be the start of the disaster for the main character Clive.
Clive becomes an outlaw after many of his father’s subjects, and Joshua has been slain and swears to make it his mission to get revenge on those who have hurt his family. Along the way, he will meet Cidolfus Telamon, also known as “Cid,” and many other Eikons and their Dominants. Such as Benedikta Harman, the Dominant of the Eikon Garuda; Hugo Kupka, the Dominant of the Eikon Titan; Dion Lesage, with the Eikon Bahamut and Barnabas Tharmr, with the Eikon power of Odin.
