Steel Wool Studios and Scott Cawthon are back with another bone-chilling installment in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2, a virtual-reality survival horror game and sequel to its predecessor, is set to terrify gamers in late 2023.

Release window prediction for FNAF Help Wanted 2

Following the success of the previous game, this new release promises to deliver an even more immersive experience, particularly for VR enthusiasts and we are sure it will release later this year.

The announcement of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 took place during the PlayStation Showcase 2023 on May 24, 2023. While a specific release date has not been confirmed yet, fans can expect the game to hit the shelves later this year.

Platforms for FNAF Help Wanted 2

With its spine-chilling VR experience and the promise of new gameplay elements, locations, and animatronics, this sequel aims to push the boundaries of horror gaming once again. The jumpscare potential as well as interactive immersive experiences within Help Wanted 2 are going to make playing this on the PlayStation VR2 intense. Help Wanted 2, much like it’s prequel Help Wanted, will only be accessible through VR as it will be a Virtual Reality optimised game. The game marks the third collaboration between Steel Wool Studios and Scott Cawthon, and it serves as the tenth mainline entry in the popular horror franchise. Fans of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise can eagerly anticipate the release of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 in late 2023.

Gameplay for FNAF Help Wanted 2

The gameplay of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 will offer a familiar experience to those who have played the original. Players will assume the role of an employee and engage in a collection of mini-games set in the eerie Freddy Fazbear’s universe. Returning characters and locations from the series’ history will make an appearance, accompanied by new games, locations, an engaging storyline, and, of course, fresh animatronics to send shivers down players’ spines.

Trailer for FNAF Help Wanted 2

The teaser trailer for the game holds some intriguing hints about what to expect. Notably, Ballora, one of the animatronics from Sister Location, is showcased in the jumpscare at the end of the teaser. Familiar animatronics from Sister Location may also make a return, implying that they may have somehow survived the fire and acquired new bodies, as seen with Ennard and later Molten Freddy.

Additionally, keen-eyed fans have spotted some details in the teaser trailer. Ballora’s eyes are shown as blue, rather than their typical pink/purple and her jumpscare resembles those found in Security Breach. Whether the game is set in the same location as Sister Location or in a new one remains unknown. It is possible that the game takes place within a simulation, similar to the first Help Wanted title.

With these connections to previous instalments, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 looks to deepen the lore and expand the universe of the series. The eerie shushing voice heard at 0:44 in the teaser trailer adds another layer of mystery. Is this potentially teasing the return of Lefty as an antagonist in the game.  He has a tendency to begin his lines by shushing the player before speaking in a cryptic manner.
