How to get free Summer Escape rewards in Fortnite

Fortnite’s Summer Escape event is here and has brought new content. Epic Games has released many new cosmetic items with the event, and some of them can be obtained for free. Considering that the event lasts for two weeks, this gives you more than enough time to unlock these exclusive items.
Once again, free Fortnite cosmetics can be unlocked by completing quests, and this article will explain everything you need to know about it.
Is it possible to unlock a free Fortnite skin during Summer Escape event?
Unfortunately, Epic Games hasn’t released a free skin as a reward from the Summer Escape event. A new variant of Ruby looks fantastic, but it will be released in the Item Shop. However, the video game developer uses this character for Summer Escape quests, which need to be completed in the next two weeks.
On the first day of the event, you will be able to complete 16 quests in total. Epic will then release at least one quest in the first 10 days of the event, granting both free cosmetic items and XP.
To get free Fortnite Summer Escape rewards, you will have to complete these quests:
- Treezy back bling – Emote by lit campfire
- Nanner Buddy back bling – Extra Fortnite Crew item
- Artifact Axe – Destroy stones
- Blossom Drop contrail – Travel distance while gliding
- Starry Sea wrap – Mantle within 30 seconds of busting through a door
- Nanners wrap – Report back to Purradise Meowscles
- Wild Fronts back bling – Complete 14 Summer Escape quests
- Bugsy glider – Complete 18 Summer Escape quests
- Toasted Coconut emote – Complete 24 Summer Escape quests
- Lagoon Escape loading screen– Complete 24 Summer Escape quests
The Nanner Buddy back bling will be free for Fortnite Crew members, which makes it somewhat exclusive. All the other free Fortnite Summer Escape rewards need to be unlocked by completing quests until July 18.
Considering how easy these quests are, most players should have no trouble completing them. Most of these quests can be completed by simply playing the game, which is why it’s not necessary to go out of your way to complete them.
Additionally, many Fortnite Summer escape quests grant XP. Considering that each quest grants 30,000 XP and that there are 30 quests that grant XP, it’s possible to get nearly 1 million XP from the event. This is good enough for 11 Battle Pass levels in Chapter 4 – Season 3.
