How to cook in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Cooking is something you will get access to pretty early on in the game. Shortly after waking up on the great sky island, you will come across your first campfire. After finding your first shrine, you will find a cooking pot.
Fires that have cooking pots can be used to make meals. To create a meal, you first need to hold your ingredients. This is done by pressing the + Button. This will open your inventory. Once there, use the R and L Buttons to access the Materials page.
Press the X Button to start holding items. Now, select up to five items for Link to hold in his hands. After selecting your desired ingredients, press the B Button to leave the menu. Walk up to the cooking pot and press the A Button.
This will allow you to throw the items in the pot and cook them. Once the cooking process is done, you will automatically get the new meal added to your inventory. Don’t forget to save so you don’t lose your meals.
How to gather resources in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
If you want to cook a meal, you will need the resources to do so. Mushrooms and herbs can be found all across Hyrule. look at the base of trees, in caves, and on cliff walls to find mushrooms. Herbs are often found in forests and fields.
If you want some meat to go with your veggies, you will need to hunt. Fish are often found in the waters around Hyrule. Bigger animals can be spotted roaming fields and trekking through forests. Use your bow to hit animals from afar so you don’t spook them.
Animals that you kill will drop meat for you to use when cooking. Different types of fish can be collected by swimming in the water as well.
