If you receive an error code that says, “There was an error. Error 401003,” we’ll tell you how to fix it! The 401003 error code refers to a network disconnection error. This error will be a client-side issue due to connectivity problems. Thankfully, we do have some troubleshooting steps.

  • Restart the Diablo 4 game – You may be experiencing this problem due to server congestion during busy periods, leading to server instability. Close Diablo and relaunch the game.
  • Troubleshoot network device – It may be that you need to update network drivers, which is causing you to have connection issues.
