As you journey through Eorzea and complete various quests, there will be a when you can join a Grand Company and reap the rewards that will aid you in your adventures. However, you may be spoilt for choice as you have three to choose from! So, in this guide, we will cover how you can join a Grand Company in Final Fantasy XIV.

How do you join Grand Company in Final Fantasy XIV?

To join a Grand Company, complete the main story quest to Level 20 and the Hero in the Making quest. After this, you will be approached by the representatives of the Company to recruit you. There are three Grand Companies you can join.

  • The Maelstrom of Limsa Lominsa
  • The Immortal Flames of Ul’dah
  • The Order of the Twin Adder of Gridania

You can reach various ranks in each Grand Company, with the lowest rank at Private Third Class. There are plenty of benefits when joining a Grand Company, such as items, mounts, and the ability to buy an apartment or house. As you progress through the game, more often than not, you will make use of your Company Seals. However, you can only obtain the maximum seals for each rank.

How to increase your rank in your Grand Company

You must complete Hunting Logs and participate in FATEs, Duty Roulettes, and Flagged Mission to increase your rank. Additionally, you must take on multiple Provision Missions and Delivery Missions to increase your rank and be promoted. By completing these daily operations, you can earn Company Seals that can exchange for items at your Grand Company Quartermaster.

How to change Grand Companies

If, at one point, you feel like changing your Grand Company, you will be able to do so. However, you must first reach the Second Lieutenant rank. Unfortunately, if you decide to change Companies, your position will be reset to Private Third Class again. Once you obtain the Second Lieutenant rank in your new Company, you can unlock the Adventurer Squadrons again. Another note is that your Grand Company Seals will not carry over to your new Company.
