Well, unfortunately, if you are looking to play locally with friends on the same console, Dead Island 2 won’t be featuring split-screen co-op. Everything related to the multiplayer will end up being online. Since the game won’t have crossplay, you won’t be able to play with friends on another console type. In other words, those on Xbox won’t be able to play with friends on PlayStation or PC.
