Is Jedi Survivor on old-gen consoles? With player bases holding and millions of gamers still going on PS4 and Xbox One, asking ‘is Jedi Survivor on old-gen consoles?’ is not a bad question to ask. Because of that player count, how many PS4s and Xbox Ones are out in the wild, still being used as main consoles, many Star Wars fans have been wondering if the newest game set in the Star Wars universe, Jedi: Survivor, will be on those slightly older consoles.

Is Jedi Survivor on old-gen consoles?

To start with, no, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is not on old-gen consoles. This means there’s no way for you to play the game on either your Playstation 4 or Xbox One. Additionally, it won’t be launching on the Nintendo Switch either, as it’s also considered to be an old-gen console despite there not having been a newer-gen Nintendo console after it.

This came as an unfortunate surprise to many fans of the prequel, Jedi: Fallen Order, as they were expecting the game to come to old-gen consoles. After all, even though it’s been a while since the new-gen consoles launched, several developers have still been supporting the previous generation of consoles, and some players were assuming Respawn, the developers of Jedi: Survivor, were going to do the same.

Will Jedi Survivor be on old-gen consoles?

In addition to not being on older machines at launch, Respawn has not given any official comments regarding the game coming to those platforms down the line. This leads many to assume that the game won’t ever be launching on old-gen consoles either because the developers don’t want to support the older-generation consoles, or because optimizing the game to work properly on older hardware might be too hard. If it’s not on a platform at launch (perhaps, Nintendo Switch aside) then it’s unlikely that it’ll come to it in the future, from our experience.
