Redfall is now available and it comes in two editions; standard, and deluxe. The deluxe edition of the game plays into the vampire theme by being called the Bite Back Edition. Just like with other deluxe editions, you get some bonus items for spending the extra money.
It is not surprising that Redfall has a deluxe edition. After all, almost every triple-A game that releases nowadays comes with an alternate version that is slightly more expensive than the standard copy. Are the extra items worth it to you? Is the Redfal Bite Back Edition worth it?
What is included in the Redfall Bite Back Edition?
The Redfall Bite Back edition comes with additional bonuses similar to the Vampire Hunter Pack that you get for pre-ordering the game. The standard price of the game is $69.99. If you decide to get the Bite Back Edition, you will be spending $99.99 instead. Unless you get the game through Game Pass, you will be spending a decent amount of cash.
Those who decide to purchase the Bite Back Edition or the Bite Back Upgrade Pack will get the following:
- Additional skin for each playable character (featured in the image above)
- Redfall Hero Pass that includes two additional heroes in the future
- Laser Beam Multi-Weapon Skins
- Tactical Knife Stake Weapon Attachment
Is the Redfall Bite Back Edition worth it?
The cosmetics for the game are pretty neat and the bonus attachment is cool as well. The main focus of the Bite Back Edition outside of these additions is the Hero Pass. When debating whether or not to get the deluxe edition, the focus should be on whether you think the Hero Pass is worth it.
Having the Hero Pass gets you access to two new characters later on. There is currently no information about when these heroes will be available so you may not be playing the game by the time they release. For this reason, it is more worthwhile to get the standard edition and purchase the upgrade later on if you are still playing the game. At least, that is what we think.
