It has been reported that the day-one patch for Tears of the Kingdom has already become available and the patch notes for it are already available. The patch is meant to help those who got the game early by fixing any bugs that they might have encountered before the full launch.
Those who pre-ordered the game digitally and preloaded the game will already have the day-one patch downloaded to their system prior to launch day. The file-size for this update is a measly 370 MB so it definitely won’t take long to download.
The patch focuses solely on performance issues and stability to enhance the user’s experience. While the official patch notes have not gone live on Nintendo’s website, we are sure there will be a link on the official Twitter page when the full game releases. BotW also received a day-one update to make sure that it ran smoothly.
Tears of the Kingdom will be released on May 12. Those who purchase the physical copy of the game will be able to pick up their copy at the midnight release if the retailer has one.
