Does Lords of the Fallen support multiplayer? Multiplayer is pretty common in Soulslike RPGs. After all, past games like Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, and more have all featured seamless multiplayer and invasions.

The original Lords of the Fallen created by CI Games was a single-player experience. Because of this, it can be easy to assume that HEXWORKS created the new Lords of the Fallen in the same way and decided to ignore any multiplayer mechanics.

Does Lords of the Fallen have multiplayer?

Yes! Lords of the Fallen does have multiplayer that allows for both friendly co-op gameplay as well as competitive PvP modes. Both of which, like past soulslike experiences have seamless integration to keep you in the game.

Whether you are in the game or not, you can join your friend through invites and explore the realms of Umbral and Axiom together. Needless to say, the host is mostly in control of this and how you explore the world while the guest is mainly there to help.

PvE co-op is fairly simple and features a drop-in, drop-out mechanic that allows players to join. You can’t just join from anywhere though since Lords of the Fallen co-op can only be initiated at a checkpoint. You can also only have one friend join you in online co-op combat at a time.

During the MP1st Interview, it was revealed that PvP works similarly to other soulslike games with an invasion system. Thanks to this, you can invade another player’s world to battle them. Be careful, you can also get visited by an invader.
