Lost Ark players are making their way further into T3, upgrading their loot as they go. With the difficulty of getting new gear with decent quality and engravings, along with the expense of honing your gear, more opportunities to loot are always welcome. If you’re in that boat, you may find world bosses handy for your goals.

Lost Ark Brealeos Guide

One of the Lost Ark World bosses you can fight is Brealeos, a 1385 item level world boss that has the chance to drop decent purples, honing items, and other goodies. He is one of three T3 world bosses, with the other two being Moake and Aurion. Below is a guide for you to take on Lost Ark Brealeos, along with the loot, tactics and location you need to battle the foe.

Lost Ark Brealeos Location

You can find the boss’ location the yellow pin

The Lost Ark Brealeos boss battle location is on the island of Frostfire. It is a fairly decent sized island located slightly north of the Shushire’s main port. Be aware the island is up all the time, but the actual boss of the island does not spawn until the appropriate time on the calendar. You will need to check the calendar to see when the boss next spawns. Alternatively, if you visit the island, the boss will likely have a greyed out field boss icon, indicating the time until it next spawns.

Brealeos Tactics

There is nothing particularly unique about the Lost Ark Brealeos boss mechanics. The boss has quite a few cone-based mechanics and the regular AOE mechanics you have more than grown used to by now. However, there are a few animations and telltale signs worth mentioning, so you don’t get dropped and have to spend a Phoenix Plume. The general rule of thumb is to always try to position behind the boss, as this is generally the safest spot you can be in throughout this fight.

  • 300 degree AOE – The boss does an AOE that attacks a medium-range and is somewhat 300 degrees around the boss’ model. The safest point of the boss is its back, so try to move there quickly so you can reliably damage and not have downtime.
  • Frostfire Meteors – The boss calls down rocks from the sky. These areas are marked with the blue and red meteors falling from the sky, so track them and avoid fatal damage.
  • Charge – The boss shows a giant red rectangle going in a straight line. The boss then charges down that path, and knocks up enemies with its giant fists hitting with both forst and fire elemental damage.
  • 160 degree slam – The boss raises its fist in the air and charges an attack in a near 180-degree frontal slam.
  • Punching Down – The boss primary attacks a player and those hits ricochet an elemental attack that cone from that player backwards. Keep in mind stacking on this bioss is not ideal as this cleave can stack up and kill you.
  • American Football – The boss will pick up a target and then charge towards another player. Brealeos then slams that person on that random player’s location and then slaps its fist on the floors, echoing out an elemental blast in a cone.
  • Hand Beams – Without warning, the boss can push it’s arms forward and cast elemental beams from them, arcing around its body in a 300-degree rotation. Stand towards the boss’s back to avoid this. Watch for when the boss raises both arms to its side and stand there holding them up for two seconds to prepare for the skill as this is the only discrete indicator the boss has for this skill.
  • Ice explosion – The boss hunkers down a spot and charges frost energy. It will then detonate in another 300-degree explosion, with the safe point at the boss’ back.

On a final note, you can get buffs from the island that mitigate the damage of either fire or frost themed spells. We recommend taking them both as the boss deals both types of damage through a variety of melee hits and spells. One hand normally has one element, while the other contains the other. If you only have that one damage reduction, then try to match the side of the boss to use hat buff effectively.

Lost Ark Brealeos Loot Table

Here is the loot table you can expect from taking down the Brealeos boss. Note, this boss is similar to Aurion’s loot table as another source of early T3 gear content. Moreso, this boss has a random chance of dropping the Frostfire Island Token, which you’ll more than likely keep coming back to if you’re interested in grabbing those rewards. During the loot auction window, you can also bid on epic quality battle engravings, s its’s also a decent and potentially cheap way of getting engravings if you have the gold to bid.
