MLB The Show 23 Diamond Dynasty has a lot of different ways to play. Players can compete with others in full games, play minigames, do challenges and so much more. One such minigame is Conquest mode, which is a unique mode that Sony has curated for the community.
Conquest is a single-player game mode within Diamond Dynasty. The objective is to accumulate fans and “conquer” the regions in order to complete the entire map. It’s like baseball’s version of the popular board game Risk. Here’s how to play it.

How do I play Conquest in MLB the Show 23?
In Diamond Dynasty, you can access this from the menu. It’s its own mode, so head over there to get started. It’s single-player, so don’t worry about inviting anyone. Once you’re in, the game will begin.
There are four phases to Conquest:
- Attack
- Steal Fans
- Reinforce
- Move Fans
In the Attack phase, you will move about the board and claim unclaimed territories. You can simulate the matchups when taking control of regular areas, but you have to play the matchups when trying to take a Stronghold.
After claiming territories, you can then enter the steal fans phase and take from the CPU. This is done by attacking teams in areas. If you win, you will steal fans from them. This is where Conquest in MLB the Show 23 differs from Risk- you can attack from anywhere, not just adjacent spots.
Next, you can reinforce by putting the newly acquired fans in different areas with your other fans. This can bulk them up to prevent or win an opposing attack. The final phase is similar to the Reinforce phase, but you can move fans between two areas on the board. The amount of fans you have in most areas is generally up to you.
Continue with these phases and take control of the whole map to win MLB the Show 23 Conquest. Doing so will earn you XP, Stubs and so much more.
