There will always be smart strategies players use out of habit on certain MW2 maps. Whether it’s a great sniper’s nest, a narrow hallway with a blind spot, or even a way to clear a room, players utilize different strategies and tactics depending on their map.

Although it was a lucky shot, it’s a likely shot too. This player exposed a glaring tactic that would lead to easy kills if used more often. Having read the Reddit post, we know that if you don’t learn it now, you may become a victim later on.

Insane game-winning grenade throw in MW2

In the Reddit post, Reddit user u/danimaiochi posted a clip of his team storming the Al Bagra Fortress. Both teams are less than a handful of kills left for a win. Danimaiochi made a last-second wild throw and then went on about the fight.

As he entered, his teammates were killed, leaving the game at 249 to 249. He was low on health and hit the ground just to see an endgame screen. He laughed to see his lucky throw had made contact.

The grenade had flown over the wall and landed right next to an enemy that was no doubt going to shoot Danimaiochi. Everyone was able to see the incredible kill on the final kill cam, causing Danimaiochi’s team to win 250 to 249.

While this seems like a one-in-a-million shot, the gallows only have three ways in. This leaves the gates and the two entrances at the back. Those are directly in front of the entrance where Danimaiochi threw their grenade.

If you always try to throw a grenade the way Danimaiochi did, you have a medium chance of taking out an opponent.

Practice that throw and get the right angle at one of the two entrances (the northern one seems to be more popular) and you will see your kill count go up. This is a good strategy to incorporate at the end of a round when players are less likely to pay attention to random grenades.

You may get a similar final kill cam on your grenade toss.
