The newest iteration of the incredibly popular Call of Duty franchise is here. Modern Warfare III has been on gamers’ minds for a while now, and fans are finally getting news on the next CoD game.
There will be plenty of new content for fans to play with as soon as the game releases. From new cosmetics to new gameplay that could include the return of Zombies mode, there’s plenty to get excited about, including the maps coming.
What maps are going to be in MW3? We’ve got all the information you’re looking for on the maps we know are coming to MW3 so far.
All maps in MW3 so far
These are the 16 maps confirmed for MW3 so far:
- Afghan
- Derail
- Estate
- Favela
- Highrise
- Invasion
- Karachi
- Quarry
- Rundown
- Rust
- Scrapyard
- Skidrow
- Sub Base
- Terminal
- Underpass
- Wasteland
There will also be 12 new 6v6 maps that will be coming post-launch to the game. These were all confirmed by the official Call of Duty Twitter after the reveal event that took place in MW2 and Warzone.
Leaks have been coming out about the maps as well, and fans of the series were encouraged to text the mysterious phone number from the reveal trailer to confirm information about the game. CharlieIntel texted the names of the classic MW2 maps from 2009 and received confirmation that the maps would be in-game at launch. They posted their photo to Twitter, showing the map’s names. This is how the 16 MW2 MP maps were originally rumored.
These 12 maps be available at the game’s launch, for fans of the series to jump into. These multiplayer maps are the original maps from MW2, not including the DLC maps.
What maps will be in MW3?
There are likely to be many more maps available in MW3 besides the 16 classic MW2 maps, however, there is nothing official about what they are yet. We will update this article as more maps are revealed.
