News of the upcoming title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) has led many fans with a question mark, wondering whether MW3 will be on last gen consoles. Though, it’s not surprising as the capabilities of new hardware allow for a more engaging gaming experience for a wide player base.

This is also confirmed if you access the official Xbox Website and PlayStation Store. This has also been confirmed in the teaser trailer for Modern Warfare III on the PlayStation YouTube Channel. As a result, fans who still own the previous generation won’t miss out on MW3!

Previously, there has been some confusion and alarm among fans regarding the mystery of whether publisher Activision will release MW3 to last gen consoles. However, thankfully, fans won’t have to worry about that as they can expect to see the game’s central antagonist, the infamous Makarov, on their older consoles! As the gaming industry transitions between the latest console cycle and technology advances, it’s clear many first-person shooter fans will want to play on their current console.
