NBA 2K24 is back, which means MyPLAYER and MyCAREER have returned as well. The hit game modes allow gamers to create their own NBA player and live their life on and off the court. Everything is customizable, from your face to the clothes you wear. That includes tattoos, though the options aren’t all-encompassing. Once you choose a tattoo, can you change it after the fact?
Can I change tattoos in NBA 2K24?
Yes, you can edit tattoos after creating your MyPLAYER in NBA 2K24. Tattoos are one of the accessories you can get in NBA 2K, and they can be edited later. Other than your name and facial features, which can be done through face scan, you can’t edit your player’s build and other things later. Accessories can be changed, though. Facial hair, full sleeves, and more can be edited if you have regrets.
To do so, you need to go back to the shop where you purchased the tattoo in the first place. Like the real world, tattoos are not free for 2K avatars. If you want them, you will need to pay for them. There are a few options when you’re first creating the player, but more come at a cost.
Here, you can reposition them and edit them. You can also remove tattoos in this location. Many players might feel like they’re permanent in 2K since there’s no option to remove them on your player. However, you can undergo the procedure in character customization.
Just like in the real world, tattoo removal costs. It’s not as costly in the game, but it isn’t free. When you want to remove a tattoo, you need to hover over it in the shop. There, you can press Y or Triangle button depending on your console. That will add a removal to your cart. Fortunately, it only costs 100 VC (Virtual Currency).
It’s not expensive, but these 100 coin purchases can add up. Just like in the real world, you need to be certain before deciding to get a tattoo. It doesn’t matter as much in NBA 2K24, but there are consequences for going back on your decision. This does not affect the gameplay, though. It’s all about your aesthetic appeal and unique style or rugged charm.
For tattoos, these come in the City. You can visit the ‘Tattoo Envy’ shop in the West Mall Station, where they exclusively only allow you to pick tattoo sleeve work. You can visit the ‘The Paint Tattoo’ shop in the East Mall Station. There is a whole world of character customization here and tattoos are one part of it.
