Making a MyPLAYER for MyCAREER and The City is a big part of every NBA 2K, and it’s true again in NBA 2K24. You can customize the player to your liking. If you want them to have tan skin, long black hair, and a mustache, you can. A lot of gamers enjoy making the avatar look like themselves, and that’s usually hard to pull off. With the face scan technology, though, it’s easier than ever. Here’s how to do it.

How can I scan my face for NBA 2K24?
All you need to do to scan your face for your NBA 2K24 MyPLAYER is download the app. There is a companion app wherever you download mobile apps, and it has everything you need. Head to your iOS App Store, Android device Google Play Store, or elsewhere and search “MyNBA 2K”. The first result should be the MyNBA 2K Companion App. Install it.
Once it’s done installing, log in with your gamer information for whatever platform you’re playing on. It will give you the option for Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch. Log in with your credentials and click to scan your face.
Be sure to get good lighting before you start the scanning process. Any shadows will impact what your scan looks like. Hold the front-facing camera at eye level and follow the instructions. It will direct you to turn your head from side to side slowly. Do so, capturing each point on the bottom of the screen.
Once you’re done, it will upload to the 2K servers. Now, go back into NBA 2K24 on whatever platform you’re playing on and head into the MyPLAYER tab. As long as you haven’t already started one, it will ask you to design your character at the start.
One appearance option is to use the existing face scan. It will upload from there and design your player for you. Rest assured, if you’re not happy with how it looks, you can still edit it from there. Everything you could have changed earlier can still be changed.
