10) Jamal Murray – 88 OVR
Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokić were unstoppable in the NBA Finals for the Denver Nuggets. That resulted in the latter being named the top-rated player in this game, but it also resulted in Murray sneaking into the top 10 point guard ratings.
9) Jrue Holiday – 88 OVR
Jrue Holiday may be past his prime, but he’s still one of the best point guards in the NBA. The Milwaukee Bucks star is perhaps the best defender from either guard position and routinely takes on and shuts down opposing teams’ best guards.
8) De’Aaron Fox – 88 OVR
De’Aaron Fox came into his own during the playoffs and cemented himself as a top-tier point guard. The Sacramento Kings guard is as athletic as they come, and he’s developed into quite the basketball player.
7) Trae Young – 89 OVR
Trae Young is a streaky shooter, but there’s no denying that he’s one player that needs to be marked as soon as he crosses half-court. Capable of pulling up from anywhere on the floor, the Atlanta Hawks star is an easy 30 points waiting to happen.
6) Kyrie Irving – 91 OVR
Kyrie Irving remains a special talent. He has better handles than anyone in basketball, and he’s an excellent finisher for his size. He can score in buckets, but he also routinely gets others on his offense involved with incredible passing.
5) Ja Morant – 92 OVR
Ja Morant’s off-court issues continue to plague him, but he is one of the most electric talents on the court. The Memphis Grizzlies star plays unafraid and above the rim, which is an extremely rare combination for a point guard.
4) Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – 93 OVR
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander exploded onto the scene last year with over 30 ppg. He’s one of the youngest players on this list and is already ranked number four overall. The Oklahoma City Thunder are poised to be good for a long time, and SGA is right at the center of it.
3) Damian Lillard – 94 OVR
Damian Lillard has been one of the best point guards in the game for a very long time. The Portland Trail Blazers star could be on his way to a new team, but that doesn’t negate how good he is. He’s an excellent shooter and passer. For a point guard, he can dunk very well, too.
2) Luka Doncic – 95 OVR
Luka Doncic is the rare point guard that can truly score, grab rebounds, and hand out assists. He’s also very big for the position, which helps create size advantages for the Dallas Mavericks. He’s the kind of player teams would love to build a franchise around, and his high 2K rating reflects that.
1) Stephen Curry – 96 OVR
Stephen Curry has a very strong case for the best point guard of all time, so naturally, even at his age, he’s the best one in NBA 2K24. His shooting is unparalleled, even in a league where three-pointers are so prevalent. The Golden State Warriors star is not just a shooter, though, as he is also an excellent playmaker and a rather decent defender for his size.
