NBA 2K24 is set to come out very soon, with just over a week remaining before gamers get their hands on the latest offering from 2K Sports. When the release date does officially arrive, people will be scrambling to play.

Can I install NBA 2K24 early?
Yes, you will be able to preload NBA 2K24 before the game goes live. This will save you a lot of time, as the game is expected to carry a rather large file size. Estimates expect a potential file size of over 100 GB, and that usually takes some time to download.
It is estimated that preloading will be available on September 6. That’s two days before everyone else will be downloading. There’s just one caveat to this, regardless of whether that ends up being the confirmed preload date: it requires a pre-order.
NBA 2K24 does not come out until September 8. Up until that day, any purchase of the game is a pre-order. Therefore, if you don’t want to pre-order, you will not be able to preload. However, there’s not much reason to pass on pre-ordering.
Even if you pre-order the Kobe Bryant Edition, which is the standard edition, you get some bonuses. That’s especially true for the Black Mamba Edition and the digital 25th Anniversary Edition. The WNBA Edition also has some.
Pre-ordering does not come with an early access period, so everyone who buys the game will be starting it up as soon as it goes live on September 8. That means that servers will be crowded and you could lose precious time waiting for it to install. Be sure to have a strong internet connection if you are going to install the game. The game is available for Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC as new-gen consoles (which do have crossplay). The last day to pre-order is September 7, otherwise the new games are no longer for pre-order, and you can buy them outright. Video games always only have a short pre-order time window.
