NBA 2K24 is the latest offering from 2K Sports, slated for a release this fall near the beginning of the NBA regular season. When it arrives, it’s expected to be on a wide variety of platforms. It’s historically been available to a lot of different gamers on different devices.
However, gaming is at a crossroads right now. Next-gen consoles are here and they are slowly phasing out older consoles. Not all consoles get access to all games, either. With that in mind, will NBA 2K24 be coming to Steam Deck?

Will NBA 2K24 be on Steam Deck?
Yes, NBA 2K24 will be compatible with Steam Deck. All games that are available on Steam can be found on the Valve Steam Deck. If it can be purchased on the service (pre orders for NBA 2K are live on the site now), then it can be played on the Deck.
However, Steam Decks are not the pinnacle of console gaming. Valve and Steam have plans to release a new model soon, one that can keep up with current games and consoles better. It’s said to be in line for a hardware boost, so the current Steam Deck is not an extremely powerful console.
It is not considered next-gen, either. While the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S has new and stronger features (most notably cross-play), the older gaming platforms will miss out. The gameplay on a Steam Deck will not be as good as it is on an Xbox Series S.
With that being said, it is playable. If you have a Steam Deck, you can still get the game and will not need to find a new console to play on.
