When NBA fans are fed up with how their favorite teams are being run, they will often turn to NBA 2K24. With MyNBA mode, players can take full control of their team and do whatever they want. Turning their down and out franchise into a contender is what most players enjoy doing. Certain teams will be easier to do that with right now, though.

What teams can I rebuild in NBA 2K24?

The key to picking a team to rebuild in NBA 2K24 is to know which teams have young talent. These are the easiest teams to develop because those players almost always get better. With that in mind, the Charlotte Hornets are a great team to try and rebuild.

They have good, young talent. Of their projected starting five, four of them are younger than 26: Miles Bridges (25), LaMelo Ball (22), PJ Washington (25), and Nick Richards (25). On the bench, Mark Williams and rookie Brandon Miller are 21 and 20, respectively. Veteran Gordon Hayward is an expiring contract, and a great trade candidate to add to this young talent corps.

The San Antonio Spurs are another good team to rebuild. They have the best coach in the game with Gregg Popovich, and Victor Wembanyama is perhaps the best prospect since LeBron James. Those two things, along with Devin Vassell and their upcoming draft picks, make them an easy candidate.

The Houston Rockets are another good option. They just signed Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks, but they also have Jabari Smith, Kevin Porter Jr., Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson, and others. They could be a fun team to play with.

For good reason, NBA 2K24 players will likely flock to the Detroit Pistons. Thanks to their young roster, they have a bright future:

  • Cade Cunningham
  • Jaden Ivey
  • Saddiq Bey
  • James Wiseman
  • Killian Hayes
  • Jalen Duren
  • Ausar Thompson
  • Isaiah Stewart

They’ve loaded up on young talent, making them an easy rebuild in NBA 2K.

The Utah Jazz have an extremely bright future. Thanks to the Rudy Gobert trade, they have a bevy of draft picks and Walker Kessler to build around. The 83 OVR center is a good building block, and they will be selecting a lot of first-round talents soon.

The Orlando Magic could be another good team to rebuild. Take a look at their budding young talent:

  • Wendell Carter
  • Franz Wagner
  • Paolo Banchero
  • Markelle Fultz
  • Jalen Suggs
  • Cole Anthony
  • Anthony Black
  • Jett Howard

Banchero, a player with an 84 overall rating, won the Rookie of the Year last season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder may be the best team to rebuild. They’re almost a playoff team, having been in the play-in game last year. With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, Chet Holmgren, and in unbelievable amount of picks over the next few years, the Thunder are primed to become a yearly contender.

The Washington Wizards could be a sleeper rebuild team. With Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma, they have a couple of solid building blocks. Thanks to a few trades (sending Bradley Beal to Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns), they also have more picks than usual in the near future.

The Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies, and Brooklyn Nets are either going to be more challenging or don’t need a rebuild. Pick up those teams in NBA 2K24 franchise mode to build them into contenders in a very short amount of time!
