NBA 2K24 is coming soon and the title from 2K Sports has historically been available on a wide variety of platforms. However, gaming is in the midst of a revolution. Consoles are slowly being rendered obsolete as newer, more powerful ones are made. This has left the older ones on the outside looking in for some games.
Those older consoles include the Xbox One. Will Microsoft’s console be able to run NBA 2K24 or will users be forced to get an Xbox Series X|S to play as Nikola Jokic, LaMelo Ball, LeBron James, or Steph Curry?

Will NBA 2K24 come out for Xbox One?
NBA 2K24 will be available for Xbox One. Right now, the Xbox One is considered last-gen. It’s not as powerful or capable as the Series X|S, but it is capable of playing 2K. Eventually, sports games will be forced to leave the last-gen consoles behind, but that hasn’t happened yet.
That’s not to say that the older consoles have the exact same game as next-gen ones do, because that isn’t the case. In fact, NBA 2K23 was one of the first big games to implement major changes between the versions of the game. That will continue with 2K24.
One of the biggest misses for Xbox One is cross-play. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game can connect to and play with one another. Any multiplayer action for the Xbox One is restricted to those with the same platform.
All game modes are present and the gameplay remains the same, but it will not be as smooth since the One just doesn’t have the capability to do what a Series S can.
