Week 13 of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7 has started and with it another wave of quests have arrived. Opening a mission kit, then placing a jammer outside of an IO base is the first part of the Legendary (Gold) quest line this week. It will earn you 45,000 XP.
Players only have one week to do a gold challenge challenge mission before it is replaced with another challenge the following week. It should be prioritised over the purple challenges, which will stick around and can be done any time before the end of the current season.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 started on June 8, 2021 and ends on September 12, 2021.
Where to find and open a mission kit in Fortnite Battle Royale
The first part of this challenge is to locate and open the mission kit. It’s near the road leading out of Lazy Lake in the direction of Retail Row. If you’re still struggling to find it, then you can check out my minimap in my helpful screenshots.
We suggest you do this step as quickly as you can, as Lazy Lake is often as busy as Tilted Towers from what we’re now calling Fortnite Chapter One. If you can avoid other players —and the alien abductions that have honestly gotten a bit old at this point— then it won’t take much more effort.
Once you’ve got the kit you want to get out of town before you get shot. Keep an eye out for enemy players, as like always with location based challenges, there will be foes that take advantage of the quest for easy kills.
Where to place the jammer outside the IO base under Corny Complex
Now that you have collected the contents of an open mission kit in Fortnite, you need to get to the Corny Complex as fast as you can. You could jump in one of the many vehicles, or you could do what I did and run there on foot while fearing for your life the entire time.
At Corny Complex there are three different locations where you can place the jammer:
- In the field below the red barn
- On the left side of the red barn
- Just outside the blue and white farmhouse
You only have to place one jammer to complete the quest, so choose your favorite —or y’know, the safest— spot. I opted for the one outside of the farmhouse, which you can see in my screenshot. Remember that both parts of the challenge have to be done in a single match for it to count, so try not to get killed or you’ll have to restart!
Placing the jammer isn’t the end of this week’s Legendary Fortnite quest line. It’s just Stage 1 of 5. After you’ve done that, you’ll need to leave secret documents at a bus stop. We’ll let you work that out for yourself, though.
