Nintendo has steadily been expanding the Pikmin series for years. Pikmin 4 is the latest title in the franchise and in it, you will become a member of the Rescue Corp. Pikmin are named after the PikPik carrots from Captain Olimar’s home planet and these plantlike creatures will help you navigate the mysterious planet.
There are many types of Pikmin that can appear in Pikmin 4 from Rock Pikmin to the Winged variety. Of course, there are even the basic ones like the Red Pikmin. Each type of Pikmin has its own special abilities to use throughout the game.
There are many bonuses you can get for pre-ordering the game. You can even try out a demo before purchasing. Nintendo is known for releasing Amiibo alongside its games as well that get you extra treasures. Are there Pikmin 4 Amiibo for you to collect?
Does Pikmin 4 have Amiibo?
There has been no mention of any Amiibo being made for Pikmin 4. This is odd considering many other games like Mario Kart and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have each gotten Amiibo of their own.
There are currently only two Pikmin Amiibo Figures available. First is the Captain Olimar Amiibo. This Amiibo depicts the veteran spaceship pilot and main character of the Pikmin game. He is accompanied by a Red and a Blue Pikmin. This Amiibo was created for Super Smash Bros.
The second available Amiibo is the Pikmin Amiibo which was made for the Hey! Pikmin game. This Amiibo shows four Pikmin of different types gathered around a block. These curious creatures are the companions you encounter in the game that help you defeat monstrous enemies. They are also surrounded by spaceship parts. The following Pikmin appear in the figure:
- Bud Blue Pikmin
- Flower Yellow Pikmin
- Flower Winged Pikmin
- Bud Red Pikmin
- Leaf Rock Pikmin
While it is unknown if Pikmin 4 will have Amiibo support, odds are that it will. It wouldn’t be surprising if Nintendo made an Amiibo figure for the Rescue Pup Oatchi who is one of your companions in the game.
Throughout Pikmin 4, you will collect Sparklium to power your ship and reach new areas. There are also new Pikmin in the game such as Glow Pikmin and Ice Pikmin.
