Become a member of the Rescue Corps in Pikmin 4 and search the mysterious planet for Captain Olimar. Pikmin 4 is filled with strange creatures for you to hunt down and treasure for you to discover.

Search under all the pebbles and check behind every blade of grass as you work to get your ship repaired and find the castaways lost on the strange planet. There is more hidden beneath the planet in the form of dungeons. Red Pikmin, Blue Pikmin, and even the new Ice Pikmin will need to help you solve the puzzles in these unforgiving areas.

The Pikmin games have appeared on multiple consoles like the GameCube and Wii U over the years. There’s been talk as well about the newest title coming to consoles like Xbox and PlayStation. Does this mean that Pikmin 4 will be on Steam Deck?

Will Pikmin 4 be on Steam Deck?

In short, no. Pikmin 4 will not be on Steam Deck when the game releases at the end of July. It will also not be put on Steam Deck in the future. Pikmin 4 is a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Just like games in the past, Nintendo is keeping this game in the franchise to themselves.

While this is unfortunate, it doesn’t mean that you can’t play the game on Steam Deck. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fans were able to port the full game over to Steam Deck by running an emulator. This could be possible with Pikmin 4 when it releases but we can’t make any promises. This would also be immoral.

If you want to try the game before purchasing, you can download a demo to try out the new style of gameplay and even get a taste of the Dandori Battles. Those who complete the demo will get bonuses for Pikmin Bloom if they play that as well.
