Pikmin 4 releases at the end of July and many fans are excited to become a member of the Rescue Corps, tracking down castaways and treasures alike. It is your job to find Captain Olimar with the help of the plantlike creatures called Pikmin. Search under all the pebbles and behind every blade of grass for this mysterious planet has a lot to hide.
You will meet Pikmin that will join you on your journey from Blue Pikmin and Red Pikmin to electrifying Yellow Pikmin. You will also be accompanied by the rescue pup named Oatchi who is able to carry the different types of Pikmin as well as your character.
The Pikmin games have appeared across multiple platforms over the years from the GameCube to the Wii U. There is talk about the latest game in the series finally coming to PlayStation. Could that be possible? Could Pikmin 4 also come to Xbox? Is Pikmin 4 on Xbox One?
Will Pikmin 4 be on Xbox One?
Unfortunately, Pikmin 4 will not be on Xbox One. Nintendo is the creator of Pikmin 4 and will keep the game on Nintendo systems. This means that it will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive and will not be on any form of Xbox console.
While this is unfortunate, Nintendo has always been stingy with franchises like Pikmin and The Legend of Zelda. Recent games like Tears of the Kingdom and Pokémon were also Nintendo Switch exclusives.
Pikmin 4 will contain a story mode and also features bits of multiplayer such as Dandori battles where you can play with a second player. Most of the game will focus on collecting helpful items that contain Sparklium to repower your ship. The gameplay loop will keep you invested as you explore the world, leaping from ledges and fending off bugs.
Those who wish to try out the game before launch can download the demo. This will give you a sense of the game’s mechanics and a feel for the bits of strategy it requires.
