How to Scare Your Brother in Lost in Play

In the third episode of Lost in Play, you’re tasked with scaring your brother.

We’ll show you all the steps needed to do just that and complete the sheep puzzle.

Scare Your Brother in Lost in Play

After waking up your brother in the second episode, time to scare him!

First, walk down the stairs and step over the dog.

Approach the book, and scroll through it until you reach the last page. You can swap pages by using either the R or L buttons on Nintendo Switch.

Here you’ll see all the items you’ll need to find to create the scary mask. The exact item needed to scare your brother.

You’ll need to find a box, scissors, and some crayons.

Where to Find the Crayons?

This one is a no-brainer. They’re in the middle of the room on the left. Pick them up using the A button on Nintendo Switch.

Where to Find the Scissors?

Unlike crayons, finding scissors is more complicated. They’re in the locked drawer in the middle of the room.

You’ll need to find a key to open the drawer. The key is in the broken clock on the wall.

First, go outside and interact with your brother, twice.

After the first interaction, he’ll ignore you. Then after you try to scare him without the mask he’ll move over.

When he switches spots, you’ll be able to see and pick up a clock pendulum.

Next, go back into the room and use the pendulum to repair the clock.

After fixing the wall-hanging clock, on to the clock puzzle.

How to Solve the Clock Puzzle?

To solve this puzzle, you need to set a specific time on the clock face.

The exact time can be seen on the picture left of the door.

The time on the clock in the picture is fifteen seconds before five o’clock.

Set the same time on the clock face.

After solving this puzzle the clock will strike and a key will pop up on the floor. This is the key needed to open the drawer.

Now that you have the key, proceed further and open the drawer. Pick up the scissors located inside.

Where to Find the Box?

The box is located outside. The thing is, there is a cat sleeping inside. You need to get rid of it in some way. You’ll need a bell and a ball.

First, go outside and pick up the bell that’s on the cupboard next to the couch.

Then, go a few steps down and rummage through the laundry. You need to go through it three times.

Among the clothes, you’ll find the ball.

The next step is to go back inside the house and use the bell to wake up the dog. This prompts a hard mini-game involving sheep.

Lost in Play Sheep Mini-Game Solution

You’ll see a screen with three black sheep, a dog, a rock, and a grid.

Push sheep into the X-marked spots. It isn’t that simple and from our testing only one combination works.

Don’t worry. You can always restart by pressing and holding R on Nintendo Switch.

That is how the grid should look when you solve the puzzle, and here is the solution.

After completing the sheep puzzle the dog wakes up. You have to motivate it to go outside and scare the cat. Use the ball we found earlier.

For this part, open your inventory, select the ball, and interact with it on a dog.

You’ll see small dots and an arrow pointing at the dart board. You need to throw your ball at it.

After hitting the dart board, the ball will bounce around and eventually end up outside. The dog will follow it.

The ceiling lamp will fall on your head and break, but you’ll be fine.

Now, go outside again for the last time.

You’ll see that the dog is playing or fighting with the cat. The cat will flee, leaving the dog sitting in the box.

Interact with the dog to get him to jump out of the box. Now you have all three items to create a mask to scare your brother in Lost in Play.

Scare Your Brother in Lost in Play

The items combine automatically in your inventory.

Open the inventory with X on the Nintendo Switch, and interact with your brother using these items.

Finally, the sister will create a mask and hide behind the couch. Now all that’s left is to scare your brother.

With the mask on, he can’t ignore you anymore. The chase will start through the garden and onto the sidewalks. Now THAT is how you scare a brother.
