One of the various occult sims in Sims 4 are spellcasters, a collection of spellbinding and magical sims that can warp and alter the world around them.
Use their magic either to help or hinder their day-to-day lives, by perhaps casting spells to create a grand and delicious meal for the whole family, or possibly envelop any enemies in an inferno.
Maybe you’d like to repair broken equipment with just the flick of the wrist or use potions to alter either your sims mood or their close ones.
All in all, Spellcasters are some of the most versatile and fun sims to play and enjoy. This Sims 4 spellcaster guide will show you the ins and outs of all things magical in Sims 4.
Note that Spellcaster sims were introduced in and require Realm of Magic to work.

How to create a Spellcasting Sim
There are two ways to create an occult Sim, either you can create a brand new one in the CAS or you can turn a pre-existing sim into one either by learning or by cheats.
Create a Sim
As with all occult sims, you’ll be able to create a spellcaster sim by clicking the occult option, there you’ll see the choice to create an occult sim. These spellcasters will default with no learned spells and start as an acolyte sim.
Learn Magic
If you want to teach magic to your normal and ordinary sim, you’ll want to get your Sim to make their way to the Magic Realm. Once there, find a mentor or teacher and ask to be taught magic. The game will prompt you to follow a few directions, but once you’re done, your sim will have gained the spark of magic to start learning.
Cheats
If you don’t want to jump through the different hoops to turn your Sim into a spellcaster, then here are the various cheats you can use instead:

Sims 4 Spells
The Sims 4 spells are separated into three subgenres, each of which requires your sim to be at a different rank to be able to learn and master. There are Practical spells that focus on boosting your needs as well as aiding your day-to-day activities.
The Mischief spells focus more on casting spells on others which can have a number of different effects. Then there are the untamed spells that tend to be quite hostile towards others, but can also be quite beneficial to yourself or even defy nature.
You’re only allowed a limited number of spellcasting perks through normal means, but you can use cheats to allow your sim to learn all of the possible perks.
