Do you want to play Starfield in VR? There are tons of planets to explore in the game and it would be great to see it firsthand in virtual reality whether that is on a PC VR headset or Xbox Series X/S. Just imagine if you could be a space pirate in VR. Wouldn’t that be great?

There are many fans who want to play Starfield in VR and experience the combat across the solar system. Even playing through the first half of the game in VR and wielding a weapon in zero gravity would be fun. It would be even better to interact with the game’s major factions like the United Colonies.

Previous games from Bethesda received VR versions so there is a chance that Starfield could get one. Other aspects of the game are also important like Steam Deck support and getting the game on Game Pass. With all of the other stuff out of the way, is Starfield playable on VR?

Does Starfield have VR support?

No. Starfield currently does not have VR support. The game can be switched between first-person and third-person POV just like other Bethesda titles. The studio may release a VR version of the game in the future but there has been no talk about it right now.

At the Starfield Direct in June, there was no mention of VR support or a VR mode for Starfield from Bethesda head Todd Howard or Microsoft.

With many fans wanting VR support and talking about it on the Steam discussion boards, the modding community may step in and create early VR versions of the game to appease gamers craving the experience.

Will Starfield have VR support?

There is currently no information about future VR support. It would not be surprising to see the game get VR support in the future since other Bethesda Game Studios titles like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Doom, and Fallout 4 all received VR versions.

Just imagine being able to see the various outposts or getting a look at the different Starfield cities like Neon City in virtual reality. While there isn’t a VR version announced yet, Starfield’s gameplay would be a great experience to add to it.
