Behaviour Interactive has revealed that it is collaborating with Supermassive Games to bring an extension to the Dead by Day universe.
Single-Player Dead by Daylight?
Behaviour Interactive Executive Vice President Stephen Mulrooney has announced that their roadmap includes “More ways into The Fog than ever Before” this year. If you’re not a fan of their current gameplay type, the 4v1 online multiplayer, and are looking for something still in the realms of the Entity but more personal and single-player based then boy have they got an exciting message for you.
Supermassive games, bringing us amazing narrative-driven horrors such as The Quarry and Until Dawn are now partnering with Behaviour Interactive. It seems the Dead By Daylight omniverse is set to pull us deeper into The Fog. In Dead By Daylight’s 7th-anniversary broadcast, they releveled that they were developing a single-player, story lead game in the Dead by Daylight Omniverse.
Dead by Daylight addition to the Omniverse
This addition to the world of Dead by Daylight is said to be “Outside The Entities realm” but with the creators behind The Quarry at the reigns of this new game, it is sure to be just as full of jump scares and horror as the original Dead by Daylight. They have teased new characters and new stories in the broadcast saying the new game is to “feature the story of a new cast of characters who players will follow for an unprecedented experience beyond The Fog.”
There should be plenty of life-or-death choices that will define your gameplay. This will also hopefully affect the ending that you get. Unfortunately neither Supermassive Games nor Behaviour Interactive have yet to release a date for this new single-player game but we will be keeping a keen eye on this update.
Fans of the horror gaming genre are given such a diverse gaming experience through Behaviour Interactive especially with their newest plan to include a Nicholas Cage addition to the villains in Dead by Daylight game ( We hope there is a “not the Bees” reference in there somewhere.)
