The idea of a game about cleaning up might have sounded weird back in the mid-2000s, but these days, Viscera Cleanup Detail has proven that the genre has some staying power. While it’s excellent shooting up a space-station filled with alien monsters, it’s also surprisingly satisfying to go through the aftermath and clean up all of the gore that was left behind. That satisfaction can quickly turn to frustration when you’re trying to find a piece of viscera that is two millimeters across. Luckily, frustrated cleaners have console commands on their side.
Viscera Cleanup Detail console commands can make it possible to finish off those last few areas that you just can reach, but they can also make multiplayer games more interesting for the host. Either way, you can find the best commands available in the game on the lists that we’ve put together below.
Activating the Console
Luckily, there isn’t any tinkering required to make the console work in Viscera Cleanup Detail. All you have to do is tap either F1 or the key directly underneath Escape. One of these should bring up a slim bar at the bottom of your screen, the console. Bear in mind that if you plan to use the console in multiplayer games, you’ll need to be the host, and if you’re playing on Speedrun mode solo, you’ll be unable to use any commands that clean up the mess for you.
Viscera Cleanup Detail Useful Console Commands
Since there are many different commands that you can use, we’ve split them into a few different categories. All of the commands in this section will be helpful, but not the sort of thing that is going to make your friends call you a cheater. Having said that, you should probably back up any saves that you don’t want to risk losing access to.

Viscera Cleanup Detail Cheat Console Commands
Now we move on to the commands that will really give you an edge. These different functions are 100% cheating and have even more potential to ruin your saves. Make sure that you’re in a new world that you don’t mind messing around with because if something goes wrong you’ll be upset that you’ve lost your saves.
Enabling Cheats
Before you can go flying around and exploding TNT with your face, you’ve got to jump through a single hoop first. Type the code below into the command console to unlock some of the more zany commands.
