Treyarch Studios have announced through thier twitter that Warzone 2’s new ranked gameplay has updated their restrictions to two killstreaks. Ranked Battle Royale has only just begun in Warzone 2 and things are already being updated.

Warzone 2 Cluster Mine and Bomb Drone

The update has announced that Warzone 2 Ranked Play (Beta) restrictions have been updated to include the Cluster Mine and Bomb Drone. These killstreaks will not drop from loot containers any more, with the Revive Pistol to replace the Cluster Mine in Buy Stations.

These restrictions are changed and updated through the data and feedback of the players in the BETA, the game mode is still constantly evolving and updating but the changes to these two killstreak may change the game completely.

It does seem to be that these updates were not in the last patch update, with them only containing four updates to Warzone 2 ranked play:

  • Fixed an issue causing eliminated Squad members to receive SR for unassisted enemy eliminations by live Squad members.
  • Fixed an issue preventing Assists from tracking properly in the in-game Scoreboard.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed Players ineligible for Ranked Play to use the Looking for Party feature.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed inactive Players to remain in the match

This goes on hand in hand with other updates and changes to the game including the choice to restrict access to this ranked beta by your level. You can access Warzone 2 by reaching level 45 in an attempt to deter cheaters as it will take around 20 hours of gameplay to reach that level and in that time people using various cheating software should have been noticed and banned.

What do you think? Does there need to be more balance to deter cheaters? Are the restrictions a fair update or have they changed your primary load outs? Tell us what else you think needs changing.
