PvP matches are one of the proving grounds in Diablo 4, which can bring Renown to their name. With great zeal, armor, and plenty of upgrades, heroes can craft Red Dust with Seeds of Hatred. With Blizzard Entertainment’s latest installment of Diablo, you may want to learn how to use best the rewards you obtain. So, here’s a guide explaining what Red Dust in Diablo 4 is and how to use them.

What does Red Dust do in Diablo 4?

Red Dust is a new currency in Diablo 4 that is a PvP reward, which you can spend at the PvP Cosmetics in the Dry Steppes and Kehjistan, Mount Vendors for various ornamental rewards.

You can obtain Red Dust by collecting Seeds of Hatred within the Fields of Hatred. You can only get Red Dust from the PvP zones. Unlike Shards of Hatred, you must defeat monsters to get the Seeds of Hatred.

These Fields of Hatred are made from the contempt of mortals, in which Mephisto has cursed specific areas within the Sanctuary. If you want to obtain Renown, you can dispatch your various demons to collect the Seeds of Hatred.

How to use Red Dust

After collecting the Seeds of Hatred, you can bring them to the Altar of Extraction, where you can transform them into Red Dust. If you can turn your Seeds of Hatred into Red Dust, your Dust will not be dropped, so the use of these seeds does have its merits.

During your Red Dust farm, you will have to be quick about it, as they are the desire of other players. Do note that other players will be notified when you are attempting to turn your Seeds of Hatred into Red Dust. If the other players can defeat you in combat, you will lose your Seeds of Hatred.

As mentioned above, you can use the Red Dust at Vendors, specifically, the Unsavory Oddities. Here you can buy gear such as Cap, Tunic, Gloves, Boots, and Pants.
