Every Zelda game has offered new forms of gameplay and different ways to explore the land of Hyrule. In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you had access to the powers of the Sheikah Slate. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you have access to multiple new abilities.

While the most prominent of the new features has been the use of the Ultrahand, Link has other new powers for you to try out such as the Recall ability. This allows Link to manipulate time to solve puzzles, opening a whole new world of possibilities. Here is everything you need to know about the Recall ability in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Recall power explained

Breath of the Wild gave Link access to all sorts of new abilities such as Stasis, Cryonis, and Magnesis. In Tears of the Kingdom, you have access to the Ultrahand which offers its own set of abilities like the fuse ability, as well as the Recall ability.

Recall allows players to rewind time. At first, this looks similar to the stasis ability. It holds an object in place before rewinding time for the object. The brand-new power opens up endless possibilities in-game.

In gameplay videos of TotK, the Recall ability has been shown to send whatever object you target back in time. This can be used on arrows to collect them or even used on fallen rocks to send them soaring back into the sky to where the sky islands are. Imagine if you could use this ability on remote bombs. It could change puzzle-solving forever.

Other abilities have been showcased such as the Ultrahand Fuse ability that allows you to alter Link’s weapons or create fantastic vehicles. There are even more new mechanics that players will have access to when they get their hands on the game. Just be sure not to ignore Ganon while trying to create insane contraptions.
