AMD Ryzen 5 8500G specs
The entire Ryzen 8000G series is built upon the Zen 4 architecture previously employed in the Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. However, the primary enhancements are focused on the integrated graphics, with AI processing for the higher-end SKUs, mirroring the approach taken by Intel’s 14th gen series, with which it competes directly. There may also be improvements to power efficiency, but we’ll have to wait and see when proper testing takes place.
The entire 8000G range comes with integrated graphics that utilize RDNA 3 technology, but the Ryzen 5 8500G specifically comes with a Radeon 740M. Notably, this particular SKU (and the ones below it) will not feature the AI-focused NPU that the 8600G and 8700G will.
